APPH
provides the full range of services required in the aerospace industry,
from initial design through to development, certification, qualification,
manufacture, testing, repair and overhaul, spare parts and AOG support.
The team of qualified design engineers
performs all of the expected engineering design functions, including
Finite Element Analysis, stress and fatigue analysis as well as
design certification and qualification using drop testing, static
strength testing and performance analysis.
Qualification Testing Capabilities:
• Drop test
• Landing gear reliability demo test
• Fatigue test
• Static strength test
• Performance analysis
Service and support
APPH offers a full range of support services to it's customers to
ensure that aircraft are kept in operation. Personnel are available
to travel worldwide at short notice to help customers should they
require it.
From initial spares provisioning, through normal spares supply to
a 24 AOG service, APPH will ensure that parts are available when
required. APPH either supplies direct from it's facilities or through
distributors, whichever is more appropriate.

Design and development
In many ways the APPH Runcorn Engineering Division forms the heart
of our organisation. It is here that ideas originate, innovative
solutions are explored and systems are tested and certified. Working
in close partnership with clients, APPH offers a fully comprehensive
service that covers initial concept through final design to lifetime
engineering support. Solutions include landing gear systems, flight
controls and hydraulic system assemblies for both civil and military
aircraft.
Whatever the project, the aim of APPH is to evolve answers to the
challenges facing the aerospace industry over issues such as performance,
weight, reliability, maintainability and cost of ownership. To ensure
the customer's design targets are met, APPH design and stress engineers
work as an integrated team for each project.
A good example of this is the program for the SAAB JAS39 Gripen
Advanced Combat Aircraft, where APPH designed, certified and manufactured
the entire landing gear system including struts, stays, retract
actuators, the electro-hydraulic selector and the steering control
valve.
