APPH wins design contract for the Korean KHP helicopter project

APPH has been selected to provide the landing gear for the new indigenous helicopter for South Korea. Seoul has directed foreign companies to work with local Korean companies and in the case of APPH - this is WIA. Eurocopter, as primary partner, will work with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop the 8t helicopter, known as the KHP, starting in 2006.

245 aircraft are planned for delivery between 2011 and 2020 for use by the South Korean army for troop transport. It will also be sold overseas by a joint venture between Eurocopter and KAI.
